Computers

The computer lab under the direction of your Computer Lab Paraprofessional follows a District Elementary Computer Lab Curriculum. This curriculum begins in Kindergarten with development of skills and behaviors that serve as a foundation for future learning. Students learn the basics such as logging in and out of a computer, identification of computer parts and proper etiquette and body position for using a computer. As they continue through the grades in Elementary school, students learn the functions of the keys on the keyboard as well as general keyboarding skills, they learn the basics of creating a presentation from the beginning level to the advanced level, they will learn about word processing, search strategies and spreadsheets. The importance of Digital Citizenship is emphasized daily within the Computer Lab.
