Second Grade

Welcome to 2nd grade.  Let the second grade learning adventure begin.

The primary reading focus for your child will include phonics, fluency, and comprehension. The Math units encompass place value, addition, subtraction, geometry, and measurement. Writing for second graders will include fictional and personal narratives, writing letters, opinions, and reports.  Two of the major district assessments your child will be taking this year are the Idaho Reading Indicator (IRI) and the Star 360 literacy and math assessments.
