Fifth Grade

Welcome to Fifth Grade!We’re so excited to welcome you to an amazing year of learning, discovery, and growth! In fifth grade, students will dive into engaging topics across all subject areas while working toward mastery of the Idaho State Standards.

In Math, we’ll explore multiplication, division, fractions, and even learn how to measure volume in fun, hands-on ways. In English Language Arts, students will become confident writers as they craft narratives, explore informational texts, and create persuasive pieces that make their voices heard. We’ll also ignite a love of reading through rich, meaningful novels that inspire imagination and spark thoughtful conversations.

Fifth grade is all about building independence, confidence, and a strong academic foundation. We’ll work hard to prepare students for a smooth and successful transition to middle school, equipping them with the skills and habits they need to thrive.

Students will participate in state assessments, including the ISATs in Math, English Language Arts, and Science, which help us celebrate all the progress and growth they make throughout the year.
